Kashukuma is a home linen brand founded by two siblings. Our first collection features nine hand-embroidered bed linen designs made from 100% cotton, produced by skilled artisans in Pakistan, alongside cushion covers. Future collections will expand into tablecloths, bath products, and other home textiles.

Kashukuma is the word for “tortoise” in a regional language of Pakistan. It is also the name of a beloved character from a childhood television show that our founders grew up watching together. The tortoise, slow, deliberate, enduring, felt like the right symbol for a brand built on handcrafted work and intentional slowness.

Kashukuma was founded by a brother and sister. The brand grew out of a shared sensibility and a simple belief: that the things closest to you in daily life deserve to be made with care.

Yes, the brand was originally imagined for children. Over time it evolved into a homeware line for all ages, though the warmth and approachable charm of the original idea remains at its core. Four of our nine designs are still made specifically for children’s beds.

Two things, primarily. First, every set we make features original hand embroidery, worked stitch by stitch by artisans in Pakistan, not printed or machine-applied. Second, we produce in small batches. We make in small, hand-embroidered drops. We are not a mass-market brand: the handwork caps how many of a design we can make, so what you own from Kashukuma is never mass-produced.

Every design is embroidered by hand in a small drop, and the current drop is still in production. Pre-ordering reserves a set from it.

We use two fabrics, both 100% cotton. 200-thread-count percale is crisp, cool, and matte-finished, ideal for warmer sleepers, children’s rooms, and anyone who prefers a crisper feel. 300-thread-count cotton sateen is smooth, softly lustrous, and slightly heavier, warmer, more draped, and immediately soft to the touch.

Our five adult designs, Ivory Vine, Verdant Bloom, Rose Meadow, Summer Meadow and Parlour Game, are made in cotton sateen, in Queen and King. Our four children’s and all-ages designs, With Love, Pups at the Park, Daisy & Bee and Little Builders, are made in cotton percale, in Twin, Full/Double and Queen.

Twin, Full/Double, Queen and King. Not every design is made in every size: sateen designs are made in Queen and King only, and percale designs in Twin, Full/Double and Queen. Queen is the only size available in both fabrics. Full dimensions for every piece are on our Size Guide.

Seven pieces: one flat sheet, one fitted sheet, two pillowcases, two hand-embroidered pillow shams, and one hand-embroidered duvet cover. Fitted sheets have a 15″ pocket depth.

Not in this collection. Every design is sold as a complete seven-piece set. Because our runs are small and cut as full sets, breaking them into separates would mean fewer complete sets available. If there is strong demand for separates we will consider it for a future collection, .

On the duvet cover and both pillow shams. The flat sheet, fitted sheet and pillowcases are left plain, so the surfaces you actually sleep against are nothing but cotton.

They will be closely matched, but not machine-identical. Because the embroidery is done by hand, there will be small natural variations between individual pieces. We believe this is part of what makes handcrafted work worth owning.

Yes, that pairing is deliberate. Summer Meadow (sateen, Queen and King) and Daisy & Bee (percale, Twin and Full/Double) are the same design worked at two scales. With Love is made in Twin, Full/Double and Queen, so it also works across a child’s room and a main bedroom.

Our products are made from 100% cotton with no synthetic blends, and are certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which means the fabric has been tested for harmful substances. If you have a specific sensitivity, please contact us before purchasing and we will share what we know about our production process.

A small amount, yes, typically 2–4% on the first wash, which is normal for 100% cotton. Our patterns are cut with this allowed for, so your set will fit correctly after washing. Avoid high heat in the dryer and shrinkage stops there.

Sometimes. Every design is made in a small, hand-embroidered drop, so a size can sell out. A design that finds its people may return in a later drop, always in small, hand-made numbers and never mass-produced. Some designs are made only once. Join the list on the product page and we will tell you if a design returns, or when the next drop lands.

Because our pieces are made in small batches and shipped from Pakistan, delivery takes longer than a typical domestic order. Every order ships with a tracking number so you can follow its journey.

Your order may be subject to customs duties or import taxes determined by your local customs authority. Where these apply they are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in our prices.

Yes. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with a tracking number and a link to follow your package.

We accept returns on unused items in their original condition within 30 days of delivery. To start a return, please email us at admin@kashukuma.com with your order number and the reason for your return.

Items must be unwashed, unused, and returned in their original packaging. We are not able to accept returns on items that have been washed or used.

Email us at admin@kashukuma.com with your order number. We will respond within 2 business days with return instructions. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.

We do. Return shipping is on us, so sending an item back costs you nothing.

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 5–7 business days. Refunds are issued to your original payment method.

We are sorry if something has gone wrong. Please email us at admin@kashukuma.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the issue and your order number, and we will make it right.

All Kashukuma pieces are made in Pakistan by skilled artisans with deep experience in textile production. Pakistan has one of the world’s finest and longest-running cotton textile traditions, and the craftspeople we work with are specialists, not factory workers on an assembly line.

Yes, entirely. Every duvet cover and every sham is embroidered stitch by stitch by a person, not a machine. It takes time. It is meant to.

Because they are made by hand. The slight differences you may notice between one embroidered piece and another, in stitch spacing and thread tension, are the natural result of human craftsmanship. We do not attempt to remove them. They are what make each piece its own.
