What’s in a Kashukuma Set?
Every Kashukuma bed linen set contains seven pieces: one flat sheet, one fitted sheet with a 15 inch pocket, two pillowcases, two hand-embroidered pillow shams, and one hand-embroidered duvet cover. Sets are sold complete; we do not sell individual pieces. Many comparable sets contain four or five pieces and no shams.
Why we list every piece
A sheet set means different things at different brands, which makes price comparison harder than it should be. Many sets are four pieces: a flat sheet, a fitted sheet and two pillowcases. Some are three. Very few include a duvet cover, and fewer still include shams. Ours includes both, because the embroidery lives on the duvet cover and the shams. Selling you the plain pieces and charging separately for the embroidered ones would be the more profitable structure and a worse product. What each piece does:
The seven pieces
- Flat sheet - the layer between you and the duvet. Cut generously so it tucks at the foot of a deep mattress without pulling free at the shoulders.
- Fitted sheet - 15 inch pocket depth, fitting mattresses up to roughly 14 inches including a protector.
- Pillowcases, two - plain cotton, for sleeping on.
- Pillow shams, two - hand embroidered, finished for display. Most people dress the bed with them and remove them at night.
- Duvet cover - hand embroidered, the largest surface in the set.
Common questions
Why both pillowcases and shams?
Different jobs. Pillowcases are plain because they sit under your face all night. Shams carry the embroidery and dress the bed. Giving you two of each means you never have to choose between sleeping on handwork and looking at it.
Can I buy pieces individually?
Not in this collection. Runs are cut as complete sets, and splitting them into separates would mean fewer whole sets available.
Is a duvet insert included?
No. The set includes the duvet cover; the insert or duvet itself is not included.
