Ivory Vine is a white-on-white embroidered cotton sateen duvet cover set, ivory embroidery worked tone-on-tone on an ivory ground. The seven-piece set contains a flat sheet, fitted sheet, two pillowcases, two shams and a duvet cover, with the embroidery worked by hand on the duvet cover and both shams. Made in Pakistan in Queen and King.
The story
The hardest piece to design is the one with nothing to hide behind. Ivory Vine has no contrast, no colour story, no pattern doing the work for it, just ivory thread on an ivory ground, and the confidence to let that be enough. What you get instead of colour is relief. A trailing vine catches the light differently depending on where you stand and what time of day it is. From the doorway it reads as texture. From the pillow it reads as embroidery.

The embroidery
A continuous trailing vine in ivory cotton thread, worked stitch by stitch on white cotton sateen. Tone-on-tone embroidery is unforgiving: every stitch is visible in profile even though none is visible in colour.
The fabric
300-thread-count cotton sateen, four-over-one weave. Smooth, softly lustrous and a touch weightier. Drapes richly and warms quickly.

The pillow shams are true shams, finished on four sides with a zip closure at the back, and measure 30.5 x 24 in / 77 x 61 cm.
Care, in short
Machine wash cold or warm on a gentle cycle with a mild liquid detergent. Wash embroidered pieces inside-out. No bleach or optical brighteners. Tumble dry low or line dry, and remove promptly. Iron on medium while slightly damp, sateen on the reverse, to preserve the sheen. Wash before first use.
Small-batch note
Because the work is done by hand, we make each design in small numbers. A size can sell out; a design that does well may return in a later drop, and some are made only once.
